I haven’t been to any festivals or been away at all this summer so we took a much needed two day break down to the sunny south east that is Wexford. We stayed with Paulie’s family who have two mobiles down in Carne Beach, a spot many a summer has been spent by a lot of families from Dublin.
By day, the beach is the primary source of fun and by evening the site pub and chip shop are always heaving. We opted to stay in with Martina and Paul, the newlyweds and cracked open a few bottles of wine. Once again, my selfie stick was the main source of entertainment and trying to frighten each other coming back from the bathroom, so childish we are.
That day we took a trip down to Kilmore Quay for some lunch. Everywhere was packed so we finally got a restaurant to accommodate the 11 of us and that place was The Little Saltee Restaurant. I was blown away by how DELICIOUS the food was, I had the honemade pizza, Paulie had the cod and chips and both were really tasty! If you’re ever down that end of our Emerald Isle this is a must go! We even spotted a friendly seal in the harbour!
